RESPONSE TO COVID-19
To our valued clients:
In response to COVID-19, GHL wishes to share adjustments we have made to our operation in the interest of health and safety of our staff and Clients. This includes our team transitioning to working from home and following recommended practices such as social distancing to “flatten the curve”.
Email is the preferred means of communication and is being monitored by all staff. At this time, our phones are being answered. We can participate in on-line meetings as needed. We are not attending in person meetings.
With respect to field reviews, our staff have been asked to make arrangements for site visits ahead of time to ensure the site is open and there are no restrictions. Once on site, we advise them to only engage with the Contractor’s authorized site representative and the minimum number of persons necessary and to minimize any contact with other site staff and subcontractors. We ask contractors to respect the minimum 2m social distancing required for the health and safety of our staff conducting field reviews and that any contractors / trades exhibiting symptoms not attend the site review.
Due to consideration for social distancing:
- For field reviews in the lower mainland, we should be able to respond within 72 hours.
- For Vancouver Island we are not permitting flights, and will require 7 days notice to co-ordinate field reviews and subject to staff availability.
- In other parts of BC, as well as rest of Canada, we are unable to attend field reviews in person. Please discuss with the GHL project manager to make appropriate arrangements.
Our staff are advised to avoid meetings in site offices, which are typically small and congested. Small meetings in open well-ventilated areas with 2m social distancing is preferred.
We will work together in these difficult times, and wish to thank you for being patient as we adapt and aim to maintain continuity of our services as much as practical.
